Atlanta Tribune Man of the Year Reception 2010!

I will be in attendance to the Atlanta Tribune Reception tonight where the 59th Mayor of Atlanta, Kasim Reed will be honored as 2010's Man of the Year. Also to be awarded will be Ollie Patterson (Atmosphere Quartet), Leigh Torrence (NFL cornerback for the New Orleans Saints), and Frank Ski(Atlanta's V-103 radio personality) for 2010's Men of Distinction for their incredible due diligence nationwide.

I'm super pyched about this event! Who knows I may be able to rub elbows with Atlanta Tribune's Editor Katrice L. Mines or even better the publisher Pat Lottier...a girl can dream...but the question still remains...what the heck am I going to wear!

Food and Travel: Maggianos "Eat a Dish for the Make a Wish Foundation"

Anyone who knows me personally knows that Maggianos is my version of McDonalds! I love their Ravioli al Forno, which is portabello mushroom stuffed ravioli in a heavy alfredo sauce, but today I suppose I was feeling charitable, hence the Make a Wish Foundation where if you buy one of the Chef Specials the proceeds go to the foundation for a little girl named Olivia.... sooooo I didn't get my fav... instead I got this...it was good but honestly it sounded better on the menu. It possessed all of the elements of an incredible dish, but when it all came together it had an unexpected sweet nutty flavor that was kind of a let down...

But this little number right here was the winner! Grilled Pound cake, yes grilled, with carmaelized bananas, chocolate sauce, and vanilla ice cream! Salute'!

Genuine & Abstract...These ads are hilariously genius!

I found these on one of my new fav blogs "My Modern Metropolis".I love stuff like this, its out of the box, its creative, its funny, those are the best campaigns! Check out the others, 11 in all,by clicking the the header! Enjoy!

“dope will get you through times with no money better than money will get you through times with no dope.” -Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers

In the spirit of National Smoke Day, otherwise known as 4/20, I felt compelled to drop a few lines about the subject and its controversial relation to society as a whole. I personally believe that the bill on the legalization of marijuana can and will be passed.

What bill you say?

The one that has managed to find itself on the November 2010 California ballot. The iniative has caught the attention of 680,000 supporters when it only needed 433,971 to be included.

My thing is what is all the fuss? We've already legalized both tobacco and alcohol, with the former being the second leading cause of death in America due to cancer, and the latter being the fifth due to vehicular homocides(www.minorstroke.com)but Mary Jane is no killer.

Not to mention that this scenario has played itself out before in 1933 with the reluctantcy of alcohol...Think Prohibition.

But honestly would it be so bad? Could it even be possible that legalizing ganja could pull our economy out of the gutter?

If the government did decide to take part, that would mean they would be able to tax on a tens of billions of dollar industry! Which means more money towards the country's fiscal endeavors, a tax revenue of $1.4 billion to be exact.(www.cannabisnews.org Not to mention the medical benefits, crime reduction... hell it may even create some jobs...I can see Craigslist now:

WANTED: PROFESSIONAL BLUNT ROLLER
Must be fluent in Dutch, Swisher, Backwoods, Vegas, Cigarillos, and Whiteboys...

If not for any other reason, its economically sound...HAPPY BLAZING!

DJ Brook-a-look!? My niece making beats? what the?...

My niece Brooklyn is often times the topic of my convos... I don't think people believe me when I say what she's capable of! This is just a a smidgen of what I've seen her do. She stays on this keyboard constantly. At the end you'll hear the beat her and her dad collaborated on. We gotta nurture this thing man! lol Love my fam, they're such right brainers!

Tampa bound and airport security down?

This was not intenional you guys, I wish I was balsy enough to do some investigative journalism such as this, but dude I'm just not that press!(no pun intended...)

I put this up on my facebook page while it was happening and I got blasted for it because everyone said I should've kept my mouth closed, saying stuff along the lines of "now big brother knows".This is what I think about that:

Dear Big Brother,

If you're going to be putting up pics of Osama and his crew all over the airport and coming over the loudspeaker talking about we're at the "orange level, if you see anything suspious point it out",and taking my Moonlight Path Bath and Body works lotion that cost $20 to sell in your "stuff we take from passengers" store for $2.25... then I suggest you get your ISH together.

Respectfully Yours,
Little Sister

I'm sorry but when I'm able to get through the world's busiest airport, Hartfield-Jackson, with both my stun gun and a swiss army knife...God that isn't something I can keep to myself people! Now coming back from Tampa they did get me for army knife, but if I wanted to stun gun someone because they looked at me funny, which was everyone cause I was rocking the "side show bob" look, it would have been nothing for me give them 18,000 volts of my mind.(Venting complete.)

On a much higher note... My trip to Tampa was great! Siesta Key Beach (#1 beach in N. America)In the words of my friend Ran "The sands were as if they were sifted by God Himself".LOL Got some great pics from the Hard Rock Casino of John Lennon's orginal notebook paper that "Honey Pie" was written on, also Brian Johnson (AC/DC) "Hells Bells", and also The Temptations. As songwriter that was oh so special for me, that notebook paper looked exactly like mine, which says to me that maybe just maybe, I'm on the right track. I know I'm such a corn ball! lol check out the pics by clicking the title!

Wreckless Behavior-This is not a good look

This is Kiely Williams you guys, 1/3 of the girl group 3LW and 1/4 of Disney's girl group Cheetah Girls. Oh yeah you know who she is and this is Williams latest solo project entitled "Spectacular"...it should be called "The Easy Girls Anthem".
Her contract must be up with Disney because I can't imagine them allowing her to produce such a sleezy epic fail of a video and song.
What Im really appalled at the most is that no one said "Hey Kiely think about all the impressionable adolecent followers you've made while with Disney, you don't think this is sending them the wrong message?" She pulled a "Miley" ya'll! But seriously though we have to do better, it's a public service...
